RoboCop Rogue City is a dark cyberpunk-inspired first-person shooter. Players take on the iconic law enforcement robot in its shiny titanium boots. Building from the satirical tone of the 1980 action films it is set in an apocalyptic future on the grit streets of Detroit. Taking the Auto-9 pistol and taking advantage of the unique qualities of RoboCop, the player must enforce justice in the city that’s ridden by corruption under corporate rule.

It might not be part of the movies but it delivers the original storyline filled with nods for the old franchise and really appeals to fanboys. It tells the story of Alex Murphy a hardcore cop who is turned into a cybernetic enforcer in the streets after being very brutally killed in the line of service. Rebuilt as a cyborg Murphy is tasked with enforcing the law and saving the innocent while trying to find out about the directives given to him by his corporate overlords. The player gets to choose how to carry out the orders making it rich in gameplay.

It is about trying to get through an overwhelming, impossible looking threat that seems to be devouring his city. So the game would retain the authenticity of the movies by combining over the top action with an immersive atmospheric environment but bring something new and original about this character.
