Core Keeper absorbs great adventures when the tour player finds a mysterious artifact that activates a port pulling into an ancient, unexplored cave; it features crawling creatures as well as valuable resources and hidden dangers waiting to send the journey to a very early dead end. Co-op will scale with group size, so there are extra enemies with proportionally increased rewards. Survival depends upon crafting extractors to locate required resources to build, craft, and survive the many dangers underground.

With procedurally generated infinite terrain it maintains the excitement of exploration. Locked crystals, the finest resource, can unlock the creation of high-level items. Additionally, the player will be able to progress through technologies that would allow the production of energy-generating devices and raw materials conversion into treasure. The building system is very creative where a player must construct specific rooms, structures, and movable objects. In order to survive, adventurers must gather food either through exploration of their surroundings or cultivating crops from seeds.
