Alright, here’s the deal: Cardio is doing what feels like card game but turns out being a high-stakes card game with rogue-like elements at its core. Every run puts you directly into a new story in which you will gain sets of mighty cards and accumulate the currency by which you will buy the improvements for your decks. You really just have to choose—do you want to keep hitting the heal button on your cards, or do you full up your survivors and go straight into the next battle? It is all about utilising resources in order to test just how far you can effectively and successfully go.

Every card in your deck has 3 basic attributes that are also three characteristics of every card: Attack, Defense, and Health Points. This parameter over time can be strengthened with boosters, making every battle a little more powerful. In total there are 720 cards available to unlock and you will really want to plan out your deck well. As you can link battles together for better and better rewards. Just like mines, the deeper you go the better the gem but alas unless you are James Bond not everyone gets out of there.

Those rewards? You’ll use them to make your deck stronger and take on the ultimate challenge: The elites of the southern district for short. In its simplest form, it is a high stake game, spiced up by complex plans and moves and plain old seat-of-the-pants action all decked in cards.
