With a decades old analog camera borrowed from my father, a picture of some missing tourists and the prospect of writing my first big story, I march into the mysterious baptistery with the brothers. Where there was once an objective to campaign for justice, the journey starts to become a search for something more terrifying than I can comprehend in my nightmare.
The baptistery has all the elements of a video game, with its PS1-like visuals breathed new life in with a few contemporary adjustments to make it even more creepy. The vibe of the place is very much into it – the music and the sounds, the darkness and the gloom… It is eerie walking the corridors of the building. Every sound, every single darkness felt and experienced will have you looking behind your back.
You don’t carry your camera for the purpose of capturing great pictures; your camera is your ‘life-line’. You should use it to gather facts for your story but do not make yourself too familiar with it. The reels are finite, the candles aren’t eternal and there’s somebody or something in there that wants to keep you trapped. Based on actual facts it will be an interesting reinterpretation of the story on the theme how much one can sacrifice for the sake of the truth.
